Jail Medical Unit
The Pine County Jail provides 24/7 medical services. On-site medical staff is available from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on-call Provider services during off-hours.
Upon arrival to the jail, individuals are asked about their medical, dental, and mental health history and needs. Medical staff triages all intake medical questionnaires and addresses concerns in a timely manner.
The Pine County Jail has a Nurse Practitioner and a Mental Health Professional that rounds weekly. The entire team works together to serve the medical, dental and mental health needs of the jail population.
If health problems arise while incarcerated, individuals are instructed to utilize the jail's sick-call electronic KITE system for assistance from medical staff. Sick calls are triaged by a Registered Nurse and then t he jail provider is notified to implement care for the individual's needs.
Individuals are subject to co-pays while in custody. This includes but is not limited to- medication, dental visits and sick calls.
Mental Health visits are at no cost to the individual while in custody.
