Domestic Violence Impact Panel (DVIP)
Participants are recommended by probation and court-ordered to attend the program.
OFFENDER GOAL: Educate offenders ( not shame) on the effects of domestic violence. They can hear how their actions affect others, and learn through empathy how they can be accountable for their actions and correct their behavior.
SURVIVOR GOAL: Empower survivors so they can heal and help others.
OTHER PANELISTS: Probation Officers, Law Enforcement Officers, family members, attorney's, domestic violence program staff, advocates or anyone who has been affected by domestic violence.
All speakers will be prescreened by the Probation Director for appropriateness.
