The Hinckley transfer station is operated by East Central Solid Waste Commission (ECSWC), which is a cooperative effort between Pine, Kanabec, Chisago, Isanti, and Mille Lacs Countys. It is State law that loads brought to the transfer station be covered and secured; an Uncovered Load fee will be apply if not covered/secured. Customers are charged a scale fee and additional fees may be charged for items such as tires, appliances, mattresses, electronics/televisions, etc. (Pine County offers resident rebates on many recyclable items at the transfer station, see below more info) Please click here for the Transfer Station Rate Schedule. Program Restrictions:
- Prices and discounts submitted are subject to change or adjustment without notice. Quantities accepted may also be limited.
- Mattresses must be in recyclable condition free from moisture, staining, and damage.
- Electronics accepted include computers, CPU’s, Scanners, Printers, Fax, Copier (non-commercial), Printers, electric typewriters, stereos/boomboxes, VCR’s DVD’s, TV’s monitors etc.
- Standard rates apply for commercially generated items, items not listed, or refuse, solid waste, scrap, and other disposal options available at the ECSWC transfer station.
There are no landfills in Pine County. To dispose of solid waste (garbage) and assorted debris the most convenient option is to contact one of the Licensed Waste Haulers. Waste haulers cover the entire county and can offer routine collection (weekly) or special one-time dumpster and hauling alternatives.
Anyone who collects or transports Solid Waste within Pine County must have a license from the county. 2022 Hauler License Application
