Veterans

The Pine County Veterans Van is a non-profit service to transport veterans from Pine County to the Minneapolis, St. Cloud and Twin Ports VA Medical Centers.  It is made possible from the generous donations of veteran's organizations and other charitable organizations in Pine County.

TRAVEL DAYS

  •  Trips to Minneapolis VA - Every even numbered work day except for Holidays.
  •  Trips to Twin Ports VA -    Mondays
  •  Trips to St. Cloud VA -      Tuesdays
  •  No weekend travel.   

      For other travel options, call the DAV van service (though they only travel Monday through Thursday, not Fridays)at 715-398-2406.

GUIDELINES

  • Call 320-216-4250 within 48 hours of appointment and arrange to have yourself picked up at the above designated locations. We do not automatically stop at these locations unless a call was made.
  • A $20.00 donation is requested to help defer the cost of transportation.  Please present the donation when you meet the driver.
  • Rider seats are first come first serve.  Spouses may also ride and a $10.00 donation is requested from them.  Please book spouse when ride is scheduled.  Veterans have priority seating over spouses.
  • Drivers may cancel the trip at their own discretion if weather is bad.
  • Please ask the name of your driver at the time of scheduling.  If you must cancel your ride please call driver directly from numbers listed on the van schedule.
  • The van is not equipped for life threatening medical emergencies.
  • We reserve the right to transport only those veterans who are healthy enough to travel and can   transfer self in and out of van.
  • Morning appointments after 8:30 a.m. are preferred, no appointments after 1:00 p.m.  Van leaves the VA no later than 3:00 p.m.
  • Masks are required.  Your safety is a priority, vans are cleaned after each outing.
