The Auditor-Treasurer Department maintains the official financial record for the county, computes taxes for real and personal property, collects assessments and delinquent taxes, manages forfeiture of property for delinquent taxes, administers elections and voter registration, issues county liquor licenses, tobacco license as well as other miscellaneous licenses.
The County Auditor-Treasurer is responsible for mailing and collecting real estate, personal property, manufactured home, transmission line and severed mineral interest taxes. Collection of deed tax and mortgage tax.
Responsible for apportionments, collections and disbursements of taxes collected to all taxing jurisdictions as provided by State law.
